Spotted this place in Kyspeaks blog for a very long time ago but didn't have a chance to go patronize the restaurant due to time and financial constraints(not to mention that I'm buta jalan as well)
Had a rough time finding it as it relocated and i thought it was still opposite was an ESSO station as mentioned in Kyspeak’s blog. Was going around in circles until I finally found it. Can’t imagine the joy I felt as I’m a buta jalan person. Let move on the the main event which is the bak kut teh..
The bak kut teh itself was quite good although it different from the klang version. Teochew style bak kut teh is more clear and not as thick as compared to the klang version. The meat was tender and the soup has body although its a clear bal kut teh version. Ist has a nice herby taste which is just to my liking(neither too strong or too light).
However the main attraction of this place is the fu cuk with bak kut teh soup. Priced at the same amount as the bak kut teh which is RM 8, you get a big claypot of fucuk which have been fried beforehand to enhance to flavour and aroma of the fucuk. At first bite the texture was slighty crunchy and bursting with flavour as it was soaked up with the goodness of the bak kut teh soup.
I left the place a very satisfied customer =) and no doubt will be back for more. The price was also very reasonable. However try to avoid weekend especially Sundays as there are lots of customers' and you won’t have the time to enjoy your tea slowly after finishing your bak kut teh.
